Social Identity NFTs pridefully permeated the profile pictures of pump-and-dump influencers, wealthy degenerates, and loudmouths of all kinds.

My Testimony
This project is my testimony to the metaverse. I don’t need to borrow someone else’s avatar project to adopt an identity. I just fucking make my own!
My Approach
I’ve always been drawn to the allure of rarity and distinctiveness, qualities that lie at the heart of generative Profile Picture (PFP) projects. Typically, these traits are achieved by layering accessories, features, and attire onto a cartoonish figure. But with SINthesis, I wanted to challenge that approach entirely.
Rather than defining rarity through conventional traits, I introduced a new system. The number of heads in each piece determined its rarity, while its uniqueness came from the deliberate removal of sections within those heads, allowing the background to fill the void. To further break from tradition, I replaced the standard monochromatic backdrops common in large-mint PFP projects with chaotic, glitch-infused environments.
Color was another crucial element. I rejected the simplistic palettes often seen in large-scale PFP collections, opting instead for a broad and dynamic color spectrum. But the most radical shift was in the very focus of the artwork. Unlike traditional generative PFPs, where the character takes center stage, SINthesis redefines the hierarchy. Here, the background and negative space become the true focal points. The avatars are shaped by what is missing rather than what is present.
The biggest challenge was maintaining a cohesive, recognizable aesthetic, which is a hallmark of successful PFP projects, while simultaneously breaking conventions. I achieved this by consistently using the same mannequin head, a controlled selection of negative space elements, and a signature glitch effect in the backgrounds.
The result is a new kind of PFP character. Instead of relying on cartoonish expressions or accessories like beanies and 3D glasses, it conveys emotion through the interplay of background, negative space, and color.
